It originated in the mid 1970's at Long Eaton stadium, the brainchild of promoter Keith Barber. It promotes Stock Car Racing for boys & girls, aged 10 to 15. The racing is based on Formula 1 & 2 stock cars and is a contact sport. Many of the top drivers in Formula 1 & 2 began their careers in mini's. The cars are strengthened, modified mini's with a fully welded steel chassis, and heavy armour which protects the driver. The engines are restricted to 1000cc with some slight modifications.
